Powerpuffs powered up!

D!PPGZ (Demashitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z) is based on the American cartoon the Powerpuff Girls, starring three super-heroines that were made by Chemical X. It was thought to be a joke since it was revealed around April first. Cartoon Network, producers of the original Powerpuff Girls worked with Toei to create the anime however, Craig McCracken, the creator of the Powerpuff Girls did not work directly with this project.

The Story Begins ..

D!PPGZ's story begins when a mysterious iceburg appears in Tokyo bay in Japan. The iceburg threatens to create massive climate shifts throughout the world! So Professor Utonium's son, Ken, decides to use the newly created and untested Chemical Z on the iceburg dispite his father's objections. It destroys the iceburg, but produced some strange effects afterward. White and black balls of light come raining down; the white balls transformed three ordinary and different girls into instant superheroines as well as an electronic dog named Peach. The black balls did the exact opposite: turning ordinary beings into supervillains! Reappearing villains from the original Powerpuff Girls include Mojo Jojo, the Rowdyruff Boys, him, and the Gangreen Gang! Everyone is back with a new twist and some new characters as well!

And so, the super-heroine story of the three girls, Momoko (Hyper Blossom), Miyako (Rolling Bubbles), and Kaoru (Powered Buttercup) begins!
